Educational Determination
VaNetta Clark is an award-winning educator, author, motivational speaker, and an Educational Policy, PhD Candidate at Washington University in St. Louis. In 2019, she founded the 22 D.R.E.A.M.S. entrepreneurial and education fund as a lifelong commitment to student success.
In 2023, she received the distinguished John B. Ervin Award for her work with incarcerated youth and for leading the Rich Food 4 Teens nutrition initiative, which delivered more than 500 chef-prepared meals to provide students access to high-quality nutrition after school.
Ms. Clark is also a recipient of the prestigious McDonnell International Scholars Academy Fellowship (2023), and was named one of 13 global finalists for her research presentation where she advocated for evolving education in schools across the nation.
Her commitment to advancing exemplary education in the U.S. can be seen in the upcoming exhibition, An Exceptional Legacy: The Scullin School Artifact Collection (1985 -2003), opening fall 2025 at Washington University in St. Louis. The exhibition welcomes teacher education departments, teacher candidates, and educational leaders nationwide.
